Why Buy This MS64 1900-O Morgan Dollar for Your Collection?

The Morgan silver dollar is one of the most well-known classic U.S. coins and they continue to be very popular with collectors today. Some of this popularity is due to their association with the Wild West. This Morgan dollar was struck at the New Orleans Mint in 1900. It had a moderate mintage of 12,590,000 pieces.

Morgan's Stunning Patriotic Designs

If you're looking for the date, it can be found on the obverse among 13 stars. Just above the date, Liberty is shown. This design is the work of George T. Morgan. Liberty has finely detailed hair and a small cap.

The "O" mintmark of the New Orleans Mint is displayed on the reverse in the lower portion of the design. The central portion of this side shows a bald eagle holding its wings high as it grasps arrows and an olive branch with its talons.
