Obverse: Lady Liberty is depicted on the obverse wearing a Phrygian cap inscribed with the word "LIBERTY." Thirteen stars, "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and the date of issue "1900" encircle the portrait.
Reverse: The reverse is dominated by the image of an eagle grasping arrows and an olive branch, with a laurel wreath below. Inscribed "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "IN GOD WE TRUST," "ONE DOLLAR" and "O," the New Orleans Mint mark.
