Why add this Philadelphia Mint 1900 Liberty Head $20 Gold Double Eagle coin to your collection?

The first circulating $20 denomination gold coin series of the United States was the Liberty Head Double Eagle. Congressional authorization for the production of the coin was finalized in March 1849, as a means to utilize the enormous quantities of gold coming into the U.S. Mint as a result of the mid-19th century California Gold Rush. The Liberty Head Gold Double Eagle coin was introduced in 1850 and annually issued until it was replaced by the Saint-Gaudens variety in 1907.

  • This Liberty Head Gold Double Eagle bullion coin was struck in the year 1900.
  • The coin is a product of the Philadelphia Mint (no Mint mark).
  • The coin is crafted from 0.9675 Troy oz. of .900 fine gold.
  • The coin features a 34 mm diameter.
  • The NGC's prestigious Green Label accompanies the coin.
  • Final mintage is reported to be 1,874,460 coins.
