The U.S. Mint's Liberty Head $10 Gold Eagle series was released for a period of nearly seventy years, spanning from 1838-1907. The series' personification of Liberty features the artistry of the Mint's third Chief Engraver, Christian Gobrecht. A product of the Philadelphia Mint, this 1900 Liberty Head Gold Eagle is struck from 0.48375 Troy oz. of .900 fine gold. Final mintage is reported to be 293,840 coins.

Iconic Depiction of Lady Liberty

Lady Liberty is featured on the obverse surrounded by thirteen stars. The lovely lady is portrayed wearing a headband inscribed with "LIBERTY" above her elegantly styled tresses. The date of issue "1900" appears below.

A heraldic eagle is illustrated on the reverse, a cluster of arrows and an olive branch gripped in its talons, with a fluttering banner above inscribed with the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST." Additional inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and the denomination "TEN D."

Beautifully Struck Mint State 63

This 1900 Liberty Head $10 Gold Eagle coin was submitted to Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) for review and judged to be in Mint State 63 condition.
