Gobrecht's Beautiful Liberty
Obverse: The obverse depicts a thinner and more delicate Liberty than on the previous Gold Half Eagle coinage. She is wearing a crown with the inscription LIBERTY. Her hair is gathered in a bun secured with a string of beads. Thirteen stars representing the original colonies encircle her head.
Reverse: The reverse shows the American Eagle with wings spread, perched on an olive branch and holding three arrows.
MS65 Green Label
Mint State 65 coins are lustrous, attractive examples that have few distractions. Coins that receive the Green Label are first identified by RARCOA for having features such as outstanding eye appeal, razor-sharp strike, booming luster, or attractive toning, before then being further reviewed and graded at NGC. Only coins that have undergone both RARCOA and NGC's scrutiny will earn the right to bear the Green Label.
