Why order this 1895-O Barber Silver Dime?

No collection of historic American coins is complete without at least one Barber Dime. This 1895-O edition is considered the key date in the series on account of its low mintage of just 440,000 pieces. This coin bears the "O" mint mark of the New Orleans Mint, where it was struck on a 2.5 g planchet of .900 fine silver. If you are going to own just one Barber Dime, this is the one to choose!

Powerful Liberty Design by Charles Barber

Both designs on this coin are credited to Charles Barber, though he leaned heavily on the work of others in creating them. On the obverse is his adaptation of the Liberty design that appears on the Morgan Silver Dollar. Barber shows the figure with shorter hair and a Liberty cap upon her head. "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "1895" are inscribed along the rim.

At the center of the reverse is the coin's face value, "ONE DIME." It is encircled by a wreath that looks extremely similar to the Barber Dime's predecessor, the Seated Liberty Dime.

Recognizable AG03

The experts at Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) certified that this coin is in Almost Good 3 condition. That means that most of the lettering remains readable.

Don't miss your chance to own this Silver 1895-O Barber Dime.
