Classic Liberty Design by Christian Gobrecht

Obverse: The obverse features a left-side portrait of Liberty. Her hair is held by by hanging curls, and she dons a coronet that bears an inscription of her name, "LIBERTY." The portrait is encircled by thirteen stars, one for each of the original states, and the date, "1895."

Reverse: The reverse design, consists of an eagle protecting a union shield while holding arrows and an olive branch. A ribbon with the inscription "IN GOD WE TRUST" unfurls above the eagle's head. Rim inscriptions note the name of the coin's country, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," and its face value, "TEN D."
