Stunning Personification of Liberty
Obverse: A left facing image of a young Lady Liberty is centered on the obverse, with a "LIBERTY" inscribed headband accenting her elegantly styled hair. The portrait is surrounded by thirteen six-pointed stars representing the original colonies, with the date of issue "1894" below.
Reverse: Featured on the reverse is a bald eagle grasping three arrows and an olive branch, beneath a rippling banner emblazoned with the national motto "IN GOD WE TRUST." The inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and the denomination "TEN D." surround the heraldic image.
