Why order this 1892-O Barber Silver Dime?

Every serious collector of American coins needs at least one Barber Dime in their collection. What better option, then, than one from its inaugural run? This coin was part of the first ever run of Barber Dimes. It was one of 3,841,700 pieces of its kind struck at the New Orleans Mint and bears an "O" mint mark on the reverse. The coin was struck from 2.5 g of .900 fine silver.

Classic Liberty Design by Charles Barber

Charles Barber designed both faces of this dime, though he leaned heavily on the work of George T. Morgan for his obverse design. He modified the Liberty head that Morgan had used, cropping her hair and adding a Liberty cap for the right-facing portrait on the obverse. The effigy is encircled by a pair of inscriptions, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "1892."

The reverse features a wreath that is very similar to the one that appeared on the coin's predecessor, the Seated Liberty Dime. The wreath encircles the coin's face value, "ONE DIME," which is inscribed at the center in a large font.

Well preserved VF25

This coin earned a Very Fine 25 grade from the experts at Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). That means that it retains nearly complete details.
