Why Make This MS62 1890-O Morgan Dollar the Next Addition to Your Collection?

The Morgan silver dollar is still among the most widely collected classic U.S. coins today. While some are drawn to these coins because of their association with the Wild West, there are many other factors that make them so appealing. This Morgan dollar was struck at the New Orleans Mint in 1890. It had a mintage of 10,701,100 pieces.

Morgan's Powerful Liberty Obverse and Detailed Bald Eagle Reverse

These coins get their name from the artist who created the designs, George T. Morgan. The woman depicted on the obverse is Liberty. If you're looking for the date, it's just below Liberty. There are also 13 stars that form part of the border.

The reverse shows a bald eagle holding its wings high. The words "IN GOD WE TRUST" are inscribed between the tips of its wings. The face value is near the bottom of the design. The "O" mintmark is just above the face value.

This classic coin was certified by the team of unbiased experts at the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS). After it was carefully examined, it was found to be in uncirculated condition. It was assigned the grade of Mint State 62 (MS62).
