Why Make This BU 1890 Morgan Dollar the Next Addition to Your Collection?

Many collectors have an interest in Morgan silver dollars. There's plenty of history surrounding these coins and they have something to offer any collector. These coins were first minted in 1878. The Morgan dollar shown here was struck at the Philadelphia Mint in 1890. There were 16,802,000 of these minted. However, the original mintage is only for reference when dealing with classic coins.

Morgan's Inspiring Liberty Obverse and Bald Eagle Reverse

These silver dollars are known as Morgan dollars because the obverse and reverse were designed by George T. Morgan. The obverse features his depiction of Liberty. She's facing the left and the date is inscribed just below her.

The design on the reverse shows a highly detailed bald eagle. The words "IN GOD WE TRUST" are inscribed between the tips of its wings. It's partially surrounded by a wreath and the face value is near the bottom of the design.
