The U.S. Mint issued the very first Morgan silver dollars in 1878. They were struck each year through 1904 and then again for a single year in 1921. Today, many people know of these coins because of their association with the Wild West era. The Philadelphia Mint struck this Morgan dollar in 1889. Morgan's Iconic Patriotic Designs

There are 13 stars on the obverse, the date can be found in the middle of them as they follow the edge of the coin. This side shows George T. Morgan's classic Liberty design. She is wearing a small cap and has finely detailed wavy hair.

The reverse shows a design with a bald eagle by Morgan. It's holding its wings high and the words "IN GOD WE TRUST" can be seen between the tips. The face value is just below the wreath in the design.

Certified MS63 by NGC

The Numismatic Guaranty Corporation was chosen to grade this classic silver coin. It's still in choice uncirculated condition even though it was struck over a century ago. It was awarded the grade of Mint State 63.
