Why Make This MS63 1889 Toned Morgan Dollar the Next Addition to Your Collection?

The Morgan silver dollar has been a favorite of collectors for decades. These coins were a part of daily life for Americans in the late 1800s and early 1900s. This Morgan dollar was struck at the Philadelphia Mint in 1889. Mintage of this coin was higher than many other Morgan dollars, but this specimen displays toning. Many collectors find toning very appealing on classic coins. The coin pictured on this page is the coin you will receive when you order.

Morgan's Timeless Patriotic Works of Art

These silver dollars are named after the artist who created the designs for the obverse and reverse, George T. Morgan. Liberty is depicted on the obverse with a small cap. This side is inscribed with the date and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."

The face value is near the bottom of the design on the reverse. It is centered below a wreath, this wreath is partially surrounding a bald eagle while it holds its wings up.

Graded MS63 by NGC

This Morgan dollar is still in choice uncirculated condition. When it was submitted to the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation it was assigned the grade of Mint State 63. It features elegant toning.
