The most collected dollar in American coinage
This iconic design, which became known as the Morgan Dollar and was named for designer George T. Morgan, features the profile of Liberty wearing a coronet on which her name is inscribed. The coin's reverse design features a laurel wreath that encircles a bald eagle clutching arrows and an olive branch.
MS63, Choice Uncirculated example with NY Bank Hoard Pedigree
The legendary New York Bank Hoard consisted of 16 canvas bags of Morgan Dollars that were secreted away by a Wall Street business man in 1964. These sealed U.S. Treasury bags sat in a Manhattan bank vault for over 50 years. MS63 or "Choice Uncirculated" coins are examples featuring mint luster, an average strike quality, eye appeal, and some contact marks.
