Why Order This XF45 1886-O VAM-7 Morgan Silver Dollar?

It takes quite a few coins to build a complete set of Morgan silver dollars by date and mint mark. In addition to those, there are also desirable die varieties that have been identified. This 1886-O Morgan dollar displays the VAM-7 variety. The 1886-O VAM-7 Morgan dollar also happens to be on the Hot 50 list. It's not as common as regular 1886-O Morgans and has plenty of collectible appeal.

1886-O VAM-7 O/O

The Morgan silver dollar is named after the artist behind the designs, George T. Morgan. The date can be found on the obverse along with a detailed portrait of Liberty. This side also shows 13 stars and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."

The words "IN GOD WE TRUST" are inscribed near the top of the reverse. A bald eagle is pictured here and it's holding its wings high, the inscription is between the tips. The O over O that this variety is known for can be found just above the face value.

This classic coin was sent to the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) for grading and encapsulation. Their experts assigned it the grade of Extremely Fine 45 (XF45), which means this specimen has some visible wear.
