Classic Obverse and Reverse by Morgan

The name Morgan dollar stems from the fact that the obverse and reverse designs are the work of George T. Morgan. Liberty is shown on the obverse. In this portrait, she's wearing a small cap and facing the left.

The reverse shows a bald eagle holding its chest out. Its wings are very high as it grasps arrows and an olive branch with its talons. Below the eagle the face value and mintmark can be found.
