Morgan's Impressive Works of Art

Silver dollars like this one are known as Morgan dollars because George T. Morgan created the obverse and reverse designs. The obverse shows his portrait of Liberty in a cap. The date is below Liberty among 13 stars.

The reverse displays a bald eagle design. There are many fine details to observe as the eagle holds its wings high. It's partially surrounded by a wreath. The lower portion of the design shows the "O" mintmark and face value.
