Timeless George Morgan Silver Dollar Design

English immigrant-engraver George T. Morgan came to the United States looking for work and found it at the U.S. States Mint. This iconic design was his first assignment. The obverse of the coin features a left-facing portrait of the allegorical Lady Liberty. The coin's reverse features a bald eagle with spread wings. He is surrounded by a wreath.

BU collector coin

Brilliant Uncirculated examples are Mint State coins. They will have full design details with mint luster fully intact. The New York Bank Hoard is a recent discovery. It was comprised of 16 original canvas bags of Morgan Silver Dollars that were purchased in the Sixties by a Wall Street executive.
