Why purchase this 1884-O Morgan Silver Dollar from the Great Montana Collection?
The Great Montana Collection is a hoard of over 17,000 coins amassed by George Bouvier of Deer Lodge, Montana. Driven by his mistrust of banks, Bouvier hid the coins within the walls of his home and in coffee cans beneath his floors. This 1884 Morgan Dollar, authenticated as part of Bouvier's hoard, was struck at the New Orleans Mint from 0.7734 Troy oz. of .900 fine silver, with a final reported mintage of 9,730,000.
