Morgan's Classic Dollar Design

The obverse of the coin features the portrait of Lady Liberty wearing a small crown with her name inscribed on it. She has agricultural materials woven into her hair. The reverse of the coin features a Heraldic Eagle surrounded by a laurel wreath. The motto "In God We Trust" appears above the eagle. George T. Morgan, English immigrant and later Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint designed this widely collected series.
