Why add the Mint State 64 1883-CC Morgan Silver Dollar to your collection?
This remarkable 1883-CC Morgan Silver Dollar is a piece of history that you shouldn't pass up! It was graded at the elevated Mint State 64 level by the third party grading firm, the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS). It was struck the fabled Carson City branch of the U.S. Mint. That branch was established to strike coins made from the silver mined from the nearby Comstock Lode Mine. Each coin was struck on a .900 fine silver planchet containing .7734 oz. of silver.
Timeless Liberty design with the romance of the Old West
Few images stir the senses more than the portrait of Lady Liberty used on the obverse of this classic coin. She is shown in left-facing profile wearing a small crown inscribed with the word "Liberty." Anna Williams was the model for this portrait of Liberty. The reverse of the coin features a bald eagle with his wings spread. Surrounding the eagle is a wreath. Beneath the wreath where the branches connect, the iconic "CC" Mint mark appears. The coin was designed by George T. Morgan and is one of the most collected coins in American Numismatics.
Excellent Mint State 64 example
Mint State 64 coins are uncirculated examples showing absolutely no wear. They may have contact marks or hairlines in non-focal areas of the coin and are very appealing additions to any collection.
