Why purchase this San Francisco minted 1882-S Morgan Silver Dollar?
The Morgan Silver Dollar series was produced annually by the U.S. Mint from 1878 until 1904. The coin returned for a final year of issue in 1921, the same year of its replacement by the Peace Dollar. The series features a rendition of Lady Liberty crafted by assistant engraver George T. Morgan, who was appointed the Mint's 7th Chief Engraver more than four decades later, in 1917.
