Why should you purchase this iconic American coin for your collection?

The Morgan Silver Dollar is a classic early American coin and was struck between 1878 to 1904 and then one final time in 1921. The coin is often regarded as a quintessential addition to any collection as it was the first standard coin struck under the Coinage Act of 1873 and features the highly-regarded and beautiful designs of George T. Morgan. This Morgan Silver Dollar was struck in 1882 and is designated as About Uncirculated (AU).

Featuring two patriotic designs created by George T. Morgan

Designed by George T. Morgan, the obverse features a classic, left-facing portrait of Lady Liberty.

The reverse features a single American eagle clutching an olive branch and bundle of arrows along with inscriptions that read, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "ONE DOLLAR" and the American motto "IN GOD WE TRUST."

Designated as About Uncirculated!

AU coins are lightly circulated, sought-after examples. There will be slight evidence of circulation wear on the highest points of the devices. Some mint luster may remain. Coins in this grade are appealing, sought after examples that are welcome additions to any Numismatic collection.
