Liberty Obverse Portrait
Obverse: The coin's obverse features the image of Lady Liberty wearing a small crown and a Liberty cap at the same time. The depiction wearing a Liberty Cap and a crown is unusual. Typically she is shown wearing one or the other.
Reverse: The coin's reverse features a bald eagle surrounded by a wreath of laurel. Above the eagle appears the timeless motto "In God We Trust." In the grip of the eagle's formidable talons are some arrows and the olive branch of Peace.
Spectacular Mint State 64
Mint State 64 (MS 64) coins have full design details, above average strikes and above average mint luster. The coins will have great eye appeal and tell a great story! New Orleans struck coins often are poorly struck, due to the press operators setting them wider than other mints. This was a measure to prolong die life. A coin with an above average strike from New Orleans should excite savvy collectors.
