Gorgeous Lady Liberty Design
Lady Liberty is depicted as a young woman on the obverse. Upon her head she wears a "LIBERTY" inscribed headband, a Phrygian cap and an agriculturally themed garland containing grains of wheat, oak leaves and cotton bolls. "E PLURIBUS UNUM" is inscribed above, with thirteen stars below, divided by the year of issue "1881."
The reverse features an eagle with "IN GOD WE TRUST" inscribed between its outstretched wings. The eagle grips an olive branch and three arrows in its talons, above a wreath of laurel. Additional inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "ONE DOLLAR" and the New Orleans Mint mark "O."

This 1881-O Morgan Silver Dollar was submitted to the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) for authentication and review.
