Gorgeously Detailed Designs
Obverse: A left facing image of Lady Liberty is depicted on the obverse. Liberty's curling locks are held in place by a Phrygian cap, which is embellished with the word "LIBERTY" on the headband. The inscriptions "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and "1879" surround the portrait, along with thirteen six-pointed stars.
Reverse: The reverse features an eagle holding an olive branch and three arrows, with a laurel wreath curving below. Inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "ONE DOLLAR," "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the Mint mark "S."

The Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) judged this 1879-S Morgan Silver Dollar coin to be in stunning Mint State 64 condition. Expect the coin to possess a superb strike, a significant amount of original Mint luster and fantastic eye appeal. The coin is presented in a protective holder with the NGC's green style certification label. The green label indicates that prior to meeting the stringent requirements for grading and authentication set forth by the NGC, the coin also met or exceeded a set of criteria related to strike, luster and eye appeal which were established by a group of independent coin collecting experts at Rare Coin Company of America (RARCOA).
