Sensational Patriotic Imagery

Obverse: A left facing image of Lady Liberty is depicted on the obverse, her curling tresses held in place by a Phrygian cap, a symbol for the pursuit of freedom. Her "LIBERTY" inscribed headband contains an assortment of leaves and blooms to represent the significance of agriculture to the identity of the nation. "E PLURIBUS UNUM," "1879" and thirteen stars surround the portrait.

Reverse: The reverse features an eagle holding an olive branch and three arrows, partially framed by laurel wreath. The design is encircled by the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "ONE DOLLAR," with the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" located between the eagle's wing tips.
