Why add this superbly graded 1878-S Morgan Silver Dollar to your collection?
The U.S. Mint introduced the Morgan Silver Dollar series in 1878, prompted by the mid-19th century discovery of vast amounts of silver in the western region of the United States. Design of the series is credited to George T. Morgan, an assistant engraver who was appointed as the Mint's seventh Chief Engraver in 1917.
