Why buy this 1870-CC Silver Seated Liberty Dollar?

The Seated Liberty dollar is one of the most significant coins in American history, as it ran for over thirty years, including during some of the most turbulent years in the nation's history. This 1870-CC edition bears the highly sought after Carson City Mint "CC" mint mark. It hails from the first year of production at that fabled mint. It was struck there from 26.73 g of .900 fine silver. Although the coin has a hole, it has been certified as Genuine - VF Detail by Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS).

Classic Seated Liberty Design by Christian Gobrecht

Christian Gobrecht designed both faces of the Seated Liberty dollar. On the obverse, Liberty sits holding a staff and balancing a union shield. A Liberty cap sits atop the staff. Liberty faces the left side of the coin, but her shoulders are open to the holder. The date, "1870," is inscribed below the image, while thirteen stars arch over it.

At the top of the reverse design is a ribbon with the national motto, "IN GOD WE TRUST." Under the ribbon, an eagle guards a union shield while holding arrows and an olive branch. "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "ONE DOL." are inscribed above and below the design, respectively.

Don't miss your chance to own this 1870-CC Silver Seated Liberty Dollar.
