Why Choose This MS65 BN 1842 Essai France 2 Centimes Bronze Coin?
Some interesting coins have been struck in France throughout the years. This French bronze 2 centimes was struck in 1842. That was during the rule of Louis Phillipe I and his portrait is displayed on the front. The design on the back is quite simple. The date is inscribed at the bottom. Above the date there is a wreath. At the center of the space inside the wreath there is an ornate crown.
The Numismatic Guaranty Corporation, NGC, was chosen to authenticate this 1842 Essai France bronze 2 centimes and assign a grade to it. After it was found to be authentic, the NGC graders turned their attention to the condition of the coin. It does not show signs of wear. All of its original details can still be seen clearly. It was awarded the grade of MS65. Since this is a bronze coin, a color designation was needed. This 1842 2 centimes received the BN designation because of its brown color.
