Why should you order this unique 1622 Netherlands Silver New York Lion Dollar for your collection?

The Lion Dollar of 'Daadler' is a historic coin that was struck in the Netherlands and then widely circulated throughout the Middle East and British colonies. This Lion Dollar was struck in 1622 in the Netherlands from 1 Troy oz. and has a tender value of one dollar.

Both faces feature the rampant lion

The obverse bears a knight standing in front of a shield that displays a standing lion legend.

The reverse features a rampant lion. The design was often mistaken in the British colonies for a dog and therefore was often referred to as the 'Dog Dollar'. The design is encircled with inscriptions that read, "CONFIDENS. DNO. NON. MOVETVR.".

In Very Fine 20 condition and with an exclusive label from MCM!

The coin was graded by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) and was certified as Very Fine 20 (VF20), this means that the coin has moderate design detail and has maintained sharp letters and digits. The coin is encapsulated and displayed with a New World Label available only when you make your purchase with MCM.
