Why Choose This F12 1576 Netherlands Lion Dollar with an Exclusive New World Label?

The Netherlands have issued a variety of intriguing coins throughout their history. Perhaps one of the most interesting is the Lion Dollar. These coins were being minted around 400 years ago and they were commonly used for international trade. The Lion Dollar shown here was struck in 1576.

Classic Knight Obverse and Iconic Lion Reverse

A ring of inscriptions surrounds the design on the obverse. The date can be found here. The date is split by the bottom of the shield that the armored knight is holding.

The reverse also shows a ring of inscriptions at the edge of the design. The central portion shows a lion as it rises up on its rear legs and holds its front paws in the air.

F12 with an Exclusive New World Label

This Lion Dollar was graded and encapsulated by the experts at the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). There is a significant amount of visible wear, but it can still be identified clearly. It was awarded the grade of Fine 12 and it has an exclusive New World Label.
