Poignant King Edward I Design

Obverse: King Edward I faces the holder at the center of the obverse. A crown sits on his head. Encircling his effigy is an inscription of his abbreviated name and title (Edward King of England Lord of Ireland), which reads, "+ ?DW R' ANGL' DNS hyB."

Reverse: The reverse is divided by a cross moline. There are pellets in its angles. Along the rim is an inscription of the name of the mint that struck the coin.
