Why add the 10-Pack - 2021-(S) 1 oz American Silver Eagle Emergency Production Struck at San Francisco Mint Type I NGC MS69 Brown Label to your collection?
This 10-Pack - 2021-(S) 1 oz. American Silver Eagle Emergency Production Struck at San Francisco Mint Type I reverse coin achieved the solidly collectible Mint State 69 (MS69) grade, displayed on Numismatic Guaranty Corporation's (NGC) iconic Brown Label. These coins also qualified for the grading company's Emergency Production pedigree due to the circumstances surrounding their striking. Namely, that the United States Mint turned to its San Francisco branch to offset production delays related to the Covid-19 pandemic and to keep up with customer demand. 2021 notably marks the 35th anniversary of the series and the final year the heraldic eagle reverse design will be used on the series before a new reverse design debuts in mid-2021.
Final Mercanti Reverse, Weinman Obverse
Reverse: The reverse design for the series is just as remarkable as the obverse design. John Mercanti, a designer who is responsible for an astounding number of coin and medal designs in the late 20th Century designed this spectacular reverse. The Bald Eagle is depicted behind a shield, his wings spread and his talons gripping an olive branch and a clutch of arrows. Overhead, is a triangular field of thirteen stars.
Obverse: The obverse features the timeless and epic Walking Liberty half dollar design by Adolph A. Weinman.
Mint State 69 (MS 69) coins are solid examples with excellent characteristics including abundant eye appeal and lustrous original surfaces. This coins are a stacker's delight featuring the classic Brown NGC Label and one of the final appearances of the Mercanti Heraldic Eagle reverse.
