How to be a verified customer on ModernCoinMart?
Being a verified customer is a simple process. All you need to do is create a user account upon purchase of any coin or memorabilia on our site.
Do I have to have an account to buy from ModernCoinMart (MCM)?
Online orders require that you go through a simple process to create a user account or you can create an account during checkout, call-in orders will also require an account but it will be created for you by the customer service representative. Creating this account does not mean that you will also begin receiving emails with special offers and featured products. That is a list that is kept separately, and you must voluntarily opt-in to receive those.
What is the advantage to having an account with ModernCoinMart (MCM)?
While we do not store credit card information on our site, the remainder of your information, such as your billing and mailing address are stored securely for your future convenience. We have obtained an SSL certificate and taken every precaution to ensure that information is kept safe.
What forms of payment does ModernCoinMart (MCM) accept?
MCM accepts major credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. We also accept PayPal, BitCoin, Checks/Money Orders, and Bank Wires. We offer a 3.00% discount for Check/Money Orders and Wire Transfers. We do not accept traveler’s checks or credit card advanced checks.
Does ModernCoinMart sell on Amazon?
No, ModernCoinMart does not sell on Amazon and is an independent coin and memorabilia distributor that sells both here and on eBay.
Which shipping method does ModernCoinMart (MCM) use to send my items to me?
Domestic orders of $199 and above will receive free shipping through our shipping method of choice, which may include USPS or FedEx. Our decision is based on several factors, including weight, value, and geographical location. We require a signature on all orders over $750.
When should I expect my order to arrive?
ModerCoinMart’s standard shipping policy is 5 business days from the date of an order, however, we will make every effort to ship an order within 1 business day whenever possible. Shipping method and transit time of the order will depend on the total value of the order, method of payment, and order history.
How do I find out if my order has been shipped?
Tracking information will be emailed to you once the order has been shipped.
When should I expect out of stock items to come back into stock so I can buy one?
Our inventory comes from a variety of different sources, so our ability to stock certain items is dependent on both market conditions as well as the status of our sources.
Do you charge sales tax?
Appropriate sales tax is charged for all orders shipped according to the rules of each state, county, and city.
Pricing
I looked at an item earlier today, and now the price is different. Why?
The coin market is fluid and constantly changing. Prices on bullion and numismatic items may change multiple times a day. We try our very best to offer the lowest pricing and follow market movement as closely as possible. It is also important to note that our bullion products use Dynamic Pricing. This means that the prices of those items are changing every 5 minutes as the price of gold, silver, platinum etc. change.
How does ModernCoinMart (MCM) determine prices for their items?
The prices of our products are based on many different factors. Trying to get a barometer of market conditions is not always easy, but we have a variety of ways and resources that allow us to pinpoint where the market is on specific products, at that specific time, with a great deal of accuracy. We are always trying to be the absolute best price out there. That is not always possible, but is certainly something we strive for.
Why are wire transfer and Check/Money Order prices different from Credit Card prices?
There are both financial reasons as well as internal processing reasons that make wire transfers and Checks/Money Orders beneficial. Processing Credit Cards and PayPal payments cost us a certain percentage of each transaction. Wire and Check/Money Order payments save us from paying those fees; therefore we offer a 3.00% discount for orders paid for with a bank Wire Transfer or by Check/Money Order. Wires are also very straightforward, easy for us to process, and have virtually no risk of being fraudulent therefore, we are able to process those orders more quickly. It is important to note that once Wire Transfer payments are initiated by your bank, it can sometimes take up to 2-3 business days for the funds to reach our account. It is not instantaneous.
Returns
Which items cannot be returned to ModernCoinMart (MCM)?
All bullion items are non-returnable and non-cancellable. If you are not completely satisfied with your non-bullion purchase, please call us at 1-800-362-9004 to discuss your concerns with a customer service representative. All non-bullion items can be returned and/or exchanged if you call us within three (3) days of delivery of your order. Returns or exchanges must remain in their original packaging. Items removed from the original packaging cannot be returned. Shipping and handling charges will not be refunded. In all situations, final pricing for your order will be determined at the time of checkout where you will have 5 minutes to complete the checkout process or the prices will then readjust after that 5-minute interval has elapsed. All returns and exchanges are subject to a 5% restocking fee.

MCM’s main focus is to offer a broad spectrum of high-quality modern collectible coins, as well as bullion items, at competitive prices. Our expertise does not extend into the world of investing. We are not investment advisors, nor do we pretend to know what will happen in the future. We will never be able to offer any guidance or advice as it pertains to investing. Our biggest piece of advice to any coin collector is to add coins to your collection that you genuinely love owning regardless of the coin’s fluctuation in value.
